The Bow Tie Chronicles: Falcons reflect on coming up short of the Super Bowl
Falcons coach Dan Quinn and free safety Ricardo Allen stop by the 41st episode of The Bow Tie Chronicles podcast. Quinn finally compares the 2017 offense to the historically good offense in 2016, which ranked first in the league in scoring.
The Falcons, under first-year offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian, dipped to 15th in the league and was a disjointed operation for much of the regular season and in the playoffs. Matt Ryan’s contract situation and the move of Vic Beasley back to defensive end is also discussed. While the offense went backwards in 2017, the defense surged and Allen predicts they’ll be one of the top units in the league in 2018. “We’ll fight anybody,” Allen said.
